How do you incorporate therapy into the school day?We collaborate with parents to coordinate therapy services based on each child's needs. Certified therapists are available by appointment, and we also welcome external therapists to provide services on-site. Therapy sessions—such as speech, occupational, or behavioral therapy—are integrated into the school day to minimize disruption to academic instruction. Please note that all therapy services, including consultations, are arranged and paid for by parents directly.
-
How do you handle personal care needs, such as diaper changes? At Eleanor Rose Education Center, we prioritize each child’s comfort, hygiene, and dignity. Our staff is trained to assist with personal care, including diaper changes and toileting support, in a safe and compassionate manner. However, as an educational facility—not a caregiving center—we expect students to be toilet trained at an age-appropriate level. While we provide guidance and supervision as needed, children should be able to manage their toileting needs with minimal assistance. If your child is currently in the process of toilet training, we encourage open communication so we can collaborate on a supportive plan for their success.
-
What programs do you offer for gifted students? For gifted students, we provide an accelerated curriculum with enriched learning opportunities. Our teachers differentiate instruction, offering advanced coursework and challenging projects that promote critical thinking and creativity. Gifted students also have the opportunity to work on independent or group projects that explore subjects in greater depth, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated.
-
What is the student-to-teacher ratio? We maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio to ensure that every child gets the attention they need. Our classrooms typically have one teacher and one aide for every 3 to 5 students, depending on the specific needs of the class.
-
How do you support children with special needs? We offer a comprehensive support system that includes individualized learning plans (ILPs) tailored to each child’s needs. Our staff is trained in specialized instruction methods, behavior management, and personal care. We also collaborate with therapists and specialists to ensure that each child’s developmental, social, and emotional needs are met. We provide accommodations and adjustments based on each student’s abilities to ensure their success in the classroom.
-
Do you follow the local public school curriculum? We do not follow the local public school curriculum by traditional methods. Eleanor Rose Education Center is a standards-based school that adheres to Common Core and state standards. We place a strong emphasis on STEM education, and we are currently working toward full accreditation. Our curriculum is rigorous, with high expectations for all our students. We aim to challenge and engage each child in ways that foster academic excellence and personal growth.
-
What types of extracurricular activities do you offer? We offer a variety of enriching extracurricular activities tailored to our students’ interests and abilities. These include music, art, and social skills groups, which provide meaningful opportunities for creative expression, emotional growth, and peer interaction. While we have limited capacity to offer full physical education (PE) due to facility restrictions, we prioritize movement and wellness through classroom-based activities and structured play.
-
What is the tuition, and what does it include?Tuition is $24,000 per student, which covers the cost of instruction, classroom activities, and nutritious snacks prepared by our staff. However, there is a separate fee for technology, materials, and specialized learning materials, which ensures that each child has access to the resources they need for success. There is also a non-refundable enrollment fee of $500 due upon acceptance. We offer discounts for families who pay tuition annually or by semester, as well as a 10% sibling discount. Therapy services may have additional costs.
-
What support do you offer for children transitioning from another school? We understand that transitioning to a new school can be challenging for both children and their families. We offer a gradual transition process where children can ease into their new environment, meet teachers, and get familiar with the school before their first official day. Our staff is experienced in helping children adjust to their new surroundings, and we offer additional emotional support during this time.
-
What is the process for enrollment? The enrollment process begins with an inquiry, followed by a tour and meeting with our team. After the visit, families receive an enrollment packet that includes the application, tuition details, and required documentation. Once we receive the completed application, we review it and schedule any necessary assessments. If accepted, enrollment is finalized by submitting the non-refundable enrollment fee and all remaining forms.
-
What is the school calendar, and do you follow the local district's schedule? Our school year runs from August to June and includes 180 instructional days. While we loosely align with the local district’s major holidays, our calendar is independently designed to meet the unique needs of our students and staff. Each month includes at least one planned break to ensure students and families have time to rest and recharge. A detailed school calendar is provided to families at the start of the year, and any updates or changes are communicated well in advance.
